| Jo Stanley celebrates Melbourne Cup Carnival Swedish Style |
|
"Driving the Convertible makes me feel extremely glamorous, sometimes a little too glamorous! With the top down on your drive to work it really does make you feel good for the rest of the day." Having recently discovered the joys of racing, Jo has taken to the Melbourne Cup Carnival “like a duck to water”. She is looking forward to watching the parade of fashion in the Birdcage Enclosure from the Saab Four Seasons Marquee. "I love that you can wear anything. I wore a bustle last year and it was perfectly acceptable," Jo said. "I love that you can wear a big old hat that is larger than a tram. "I like race wear with a twist. I like to wear local designers that are classic but a little bit quirky, a little bit edgy, which is a bit like a Saab. "I'm not interested in blending in with the crowd. I don't want to be the centre of attention but I want people to say that's an interesting decision, that's very brave! and that is the best thing about the races." Jo is a big fan of Melbourne designers and is wearing designs by Toni Matichevski, Henn and Hoo and Sideshow Design with millinery by Serena Lindeman throughout this years Carnival. This year Saab continues its sponsorship of Myer Fashions on the Field. Saab is providing both the winner of the popular Women’s Classic Race Wear and now Men’s Classic Race Wear with a new Saab 9-3 Convertible for one year. Saab, famous for its innovative and beautiful design, is also supporting the inaugural Design Award this year, with the winner also driving away in a new Saab Convertible for a year. |
